RAW Material

At Coirgenie, the process begins with ethically sourcing coconut husks from trusted suppliers. We ensure only mature, high-quality husks are selected, laying a strong foundation for premium coir products. Our sustainable procurement methods support local communities while minimizing environmental impact, reflecting our commitment to eco-friendly practices from the very first step.

02

Crushing

The raw-husks are fed into advanced crushing machines, where they are broken down into finer coir fibers and pith. This mechanical process separates the fiber and pith without using any chemicals, preserving the natural integrity of the coconut material. Precision in crushing is essential to achieving consistent coir texture for various applications.

03

PITH EXTRACTION

Once crushed, the pith (also known as coco peat) is separated from the fiber through automated sieving systems. This extracted pith is rich in moisture retention capacity and forms the base of our popular horticultural and agricultural products. Careful extraction ensures minimal fiber contamination and high pith purity.

04

SCREENING

After pith extraction, the material undergoes screening to remove fine dust, unwanted particles, and oversized fibers. Multiple mesh sizes are used to achieve desired granularity for different coir product grades. This step ensures product uniformity and readiness for further cleaning or drying, enhancing consistency in every batch.

05

WASHING & EXTRA WASHING

Our pith is thoroughly washed using clean water to remove excess salts and impurities, making it ideal for plant growth and export standards. For premium-grade products, we offer extra washing, which involves multiple rinses and buffering to achieve ultra-low EC levels, especially demanded in international horticulture and hydroponic markets.

06

DRYING

After washing, the coir material is spread over drying yards or passed through controlled drying chambers. We maintain optimal drying conditions to ensure uniform moisture reduction without microbial growth. Proper drying enhances shelf life, prevents clumping, and prepares the material for efficient compressing and packing.

07

COMPRESSING

Dried coir is compressed into various formats—blocks, briquettes, or grow bags—using high-tonnage hydraulic presses. This not only reduces volume for cost-effective shipping but also maintains structural integrity. Each unit is compact, easy to rehydrate, and retains the original quality, making them export-ready and user-friendly.

08

QUALITY CHECK

Every batch undergoes rigorous quality checks to ensure it meets Coirgenie’s high standards. From EC and pH testing to moisture content and compressibility, our QA team uses calibrated instruments and international benchmarks. This meticulous inspection guarantees reliable, eco-certified coir products for diverse applications.

09

PALLETISING

Post quality approval, the compressed coir units are securely stacked on pallets. Palletising is done with stability and space optimization in mind, ensuring damage-free storage and transport. Each pallet is wrapped and barcoded for tracking, aiding efficient warehouse management and streamlined delivery across global markets.
